Welcome.
'My Thai Kids' is a group of volunteers affiliated with the Montclair Presbyterian Church, and we are a sister church to the Orphanage and Prattachisuk Church in Chiangrai, Thailand. We are an all volunteer group of concerned individuals who love children, and want these kids to have the opportunity to attend school, receive an education, be part of a loving family and become productive members of their Thai community.
The children in this orphanage come from the hilltribes of Thailand, as well as Burma. Most of the children are orphaned as a result of HIV infection and subsequent death of both parents from AIDS and AIDS related infections. They often have no paperwork, no birthdays, no official citizenship. In a sense, they are ‘ghosts’ in their own community.
